EU Loop Business Development Internship

Loop internships are open to students and recent graduates (any grant accepted) with a strong interest in entrepreneurship, packaging development, waste-management, consumer goods and ethical business.

Loop Europe offers internships to students who are required to do an internship as part of their UK-based higher education course. Based in our upcycled European headquarters in North-West London, TerraCycle’s latest initiative, Loop, is recruiting a Business Development Intern to support the launch of Loop’s reusable packaging platform in London.

Operating in 21 countries globally, TerraCycle is the world leader in the recycling of generally non-recyclable waste such as pens, coffee capsules, food wrappers and even cigarette butts and beach plastics. We create and administer collection and solution systems for waste that would otherwise be sent to landfill or incineration.

TerraCycle was founded in 2001 by Tom Szaky whose vision has become one of the fastest-growing green companies in the world.

Loop is a new way to shop, offering about 300 items — from Häagen-Dazs ice-cream to Milka biscuits, Axe deodorant to Oral-B toothbrushes — all in reusable packaging. After using the products, consumers put the empty containers in a Loop tote on their doorstep. The containers are then picked up by a delivery service, cleaned and refilled, and shipped out to consumers again. In other words, it’s the 21st century milk man — here to save the world from single-use plastics.

The global Loop reusable packaging platform was officially unveiled at The World Economic Forum in January 2019 and has since launched two pilots in New York ( and Paris ( Having achieved widespread media attention (see links below), the global Loop platform will continue to grow with further launches in 2020 planned for the UK, Germany, Japan, Canada and Australia.
