Job Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Communications, Europe, this position will join the Public Relations team and work closely with a number of Public Relations Associates to assist in publicising the programmes and promotions with a large emphasis on the administration associated to it, across all of the company’s business units.

Responsibilities include:


  • Daily monitoring and reporting of coverage and relevant industry/issues coverage in traditional media, online and social outlets
  • Maintaining up-to-date, accurate databases reflecting all media results for brand partners and lines of business


  • Perform in-depth research on specific outlets and/or reporters to inform media strategy development and/or for use in preparing spokespeople for interviews
  • Research and compilation of custom media lists
  • Ad hoc research on topics and issues relevant to brand partners/lines of business, including synthesizing and formatting findings for delivery
  • Research and monitoring of key influencers for client’s industry or business
  • Research and compile a database of industry statistics relevant to brand partners/lines of business for use in press materials.

Development of Materials:

  • Write press releases, case studies and other client facing materials as needed.
  • Liaison with TerraCycle collectors to develop / gain approval of and suitable pictures of local media case studies
  • Build and maintain industry award submission calendar/draft submissions as needed.

As and when required:

  • Attend events on behalf of TerraCycle or Loop and support with the logistics when required

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English (essential) and French (very useful) & (another European language such as Spanish, German, or Dutch would also be a plus)
  • Degree in Media/Communications or related field (beneficial)
  • 1 years’ experience in a PR environment (ideally) / or previous related internship experience or demonstrable interest in working in a PR environment Critical thinker with ability to analyse information and make well thought out decisions
  • Proven research, analysis and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to craft written, error-free copy
  • Demonstrated ability to take on responsibility and be accountable for results
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management ability
  • Strong work ethic, individual career ambition but team mentality, commitment to excellence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
