TerraCycle seeks to hire a resourceful and driven person who has experience with business development in the retail industry and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Business Development Manager will report to the Retail Strategy and Shopper Marketing Manager and will work directly with dozens of key accounts. The position is based in Perivale, West London.

Job Overview –

The Programme Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing growth opportunities within TerraCycle’s existing partnerships. Working closely with the Account Management team, the position will be in charge of offering and implementing additional MarCom services as well as shopper marketing activities. As such, this is both an upsell and project management role.

Primary Responsibilities –

  • Developing and selling shopper marketing programmes to brand partners (retail collections, in-store promotion etc.)
  • Supporting the European Account Management team to identify growth opportunities
  • Pitching opportunities that drive incremental revenue and enhance TerraCycle partners’ current recycling programs
  • Creating client-ready customized proposals and resources
  • Identifying and developing new products & services to fulfil our brand partners’ expectations
  • Supervising the implementation of sold services
  • Creating and updating a library of case studies
  • Internal & external reporting on upsells and activations

Requirements/Skills –

  • Fluent in both French and English with excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in FMCG sales/merchandising/shopper marketing fields
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sales and Project Management experience
  • Ability to prioritise among competing tasks
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Proactive and solution-focused
  • Ability to speak another European language would be beneficial but not essential
  • A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business would be beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps etc.
  • A degree in an appropriate field (business, management, marketing…) or equivalent work experience is desired
