Job Overview
TerraCycle seeks to hire a resourceful, and well organized Material Solutions Associate to support the Materials Solutions team based in Perivale, West London to support Europe. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and smoothness of TerraCycle daily operations. Our Materials team is responsible for finding the right vendors to process our materials and building up the relationship to support any new waste streams.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Recording our waste movements to our processors and vendors in our tracking system
- Gather and keep on file all documentation linked to waste movements (weighbridge ticket, Waste transfer note)
- Managing the invoice process with our vendors:
- Checking the invoices (weight, rate, date, correct TC entity address…)
- Recording the invoices in our tracking system
- Ensuring the internal validation process of the invoices
- PO log requests and maintenance
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support vendors visit
- Learn how to identify polymer types to identify recycling machinery required and learn processing equipment
- Build relationships with processors
Requirements/Skills
- Fluent in English - French or another other European language will be an added bonus.
- Previous administration/coordinator experience required – at least 1 year in a fast-paced environment.
- Waste or recycling experience would be an added bonus.
- Vendor management and knowledge of polymers will be considered as a plus.
- Full UK driving license is desirable.
- Curiosity to learn from the team and management.
- Excellent personal communication and collaborative skills to adapt to multi level.
- Ability to drive in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proactive and solution-focused.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business would be beneficial.
