POSITION SUMMARY

With the continued growth of our company and increase and the growing demand for video, graphics and photography work, TerraCycle is looking for a talented and passionate Video Editor/Graphic Designer to join its Creative Division as part of the European Marketing team. Your role will be to create content within various styles to achieve our brand partners’ desired outcomes while maintaining the quality and integrity of our brand's image. You will also be in charge of creative projects that aim to grow TerraCycle brand and facilitate the use of its services.

As a video editor, you will be responsible for producing/editing videos and short films. You will use your creativity to bring our content to life and develop visual effects treatments that enhance the storytelling of our brand. Video work will include content for promotional videos, ‘How To’ guides, collectors’ stories, social videos, product marketing videos and recruiting videos.

As a designer, you will be expected to assist in the creation of high-quality graphic assets for our digital platforms. Design assets will include website images, social media images, 2D motion graphics, logos, digital mockups, photography, photo cropping and retouching.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate design briefs or participate in kick-off meetings to get project scope for the following:
    • Free Recycling Programmes (in multiple languages)
    • Zero Waste Boxes
    • Shopper Marketing Campaigns
    • Support for other teams
    • Brand awareness projects
  • Creative thinking to come up with design concepts to fit the needs of the project while maintaining design standards
  • Managing projects from start to finish that are assigned to you
  • Managing edits given by internal staff and clients, while maintaining design standards
  • Ability to meet required deadlines for assigned projects
  • Proofing and preparing designs to be published

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film; Graphics; Digital Media Production or similar experience
  • Excellent skills in Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro X
  • Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite CC. Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience in shooting composing and planning photography and video shoots
  • Able to edit video with music and voiceovers
  • Strong understanding of compressing and encoding video formats
  • Motion graphics skills including animation, special effects and colour grading
    are preferable
  • Expert knowledge of what makes great social video, graphics and branded content
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to solve problems and multitask in a rapidly changing environment, with changing priorities and sometimes tight deadlines
  • Strong artistic skills
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work with the marketing team, international colleagues and clients
  • Organised and able to work on multiple projects at one time
  • 1+ years experience in a design agency or in-house
  • A portfolio showcasing your best work and demonstrating a breadth range of skills
