TerraCycle Overview

Operating in 21 countries (including 12 in Europe), TerraCycle is a world leader in the recycling of hard-to-recycle waste, such as pens, snack wrappers, food pouches, beauty product packaging, home care product packaging and even cigarette butts or marine plastics. We create collection and recycling solutions for anything that would otherwise be sent to incineration or landfill, the waste we collect is then transformed into new products such as benches or tables. For many of our solutions, we partner with some of the most recognizable brands and retailers in the world, including BIC, L’Oréal, P&G and Tesco amongst others to collect waste on a large scale.

Job Overview

TerraCycle seeks to hire a resourceful, and well organised Operation Administrator to support the Operations Manager and contribute to the growth and smoothness of TerraCycle daily operations. This is a 6 month contract based in our office in Budapest.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support TerraCycle fulfilment agencies
    • Order supplies
    • Control fulfilment activities (orders fulfilled on time, inventory, prioritisation…)
    • Month end internal reporting preparation
    • Source new fulfilment and supplies partner as required
  • Support Operations Manager on supervision of European operations (12 countries):
    • Check google reports
    • Place transport request and file documents
    • Prepare accruals report
    • Update the report with new programs
    • Waste transfer notes management
    • Month end internal reporting
    • Support on projects
  • Support Supplier Management
    • Place orders
    • Create PO
    • Support on projects


  • Fluent in English (mandatory), French (very appreciated) and in any European language will be a plus
  • Previous administration experience required – at least 1 year in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proactive and solution-focused
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Excellent communications skills and confident speaking to external partners
  • A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business would be beneficial
